So the USA has been finally eliminated. Who would've thought they'd even make it that far! Props to the whole US team for getting them past the first round but Ghana just wanted it more. US gave up points too easily and when they finally caught up in the 2nd half, they give up another goal on the overtime frame in the first few minutes.
Anyway, I liked their performance. I am now rooting for Germany or Argentina to take it. Also, Japan lost!! Oh well, their's always 2014. :)
Also over the weekend, Fedor "The Last Emperor" has finally succumbed to defeat!! This man was thought to be the world's #1 heavyweight!! In fact, he looked unstoppable with his last few fights, soundly beating them and securing his spot in the rankings. Too bad.. Werdum just played possum and caught him in a lethal triangle choke. I would've loved it if he went to UFC and tested himself against the best (Brock, Carwin, Velasquez, Dos Santos) but alas, his mystique, his aura, is no longer what it used to be. Check out the vid.
